The Nokia X6 Is A Superble Media Player

.

Nokia’s prolific release schedule of new phones is certainly impressive. One of their latest handsets is the X6 which incorporates a wide range of features and is aimed primarily at media playback. As well as this, it offers a digital camera, Wi-Fi internet connection and is controlled by touch screen navigation.

The versatile media player supports a whole host of different music and video file formats. A stereo FM radio player and a range of games are included pre-installed. If users with to download extra games, access to a library of downloadable games is also provided. Therefore, plenty of entertainment options are provided. An organiser, photo editor, voice command and T9 all add to the everyday functionality of the Nokia X6. MP3 music file scan be assigned as ringtones, and polyphonic ringtones can be downloaded, so users can customise their ringtones. A speakerphone with stereo speakers and a 3.5mm audio jack provide options for handsfree communications.
The built in digital camera has 5 mega pixels, operating at a pixel resolution of 2592x1944 pixels, resulting in high quality still images. The task of taking quality photos is greatly simplified by the inclusion of autofocus, dual LED flash and video light. Video can also be shot, and this is in VGA quality at a frame rate of 30 frames per second. Another point worth mentioning is the Carl Zeiss optics, which reassure users about the camera’s build quality. The camera features geo-tagging, which allows users to tag the location at which a photo was taken, thanks to GPS.

128 MB RAM and a whopping 32 GB of internal storage is provided as standard, so users can easily keep a whole music collection on their phone. Although the Nokia X6 does not have a micro SD slot as most new phones do, the fact that 32 GB of storage is available simply does not warrant the need for one. The internal phonebook can store many contacts and includes the popular photocall feature which allows a photo to be assigned to each contact and this is then displayed whenever that person calls.

The Nokia X6 is slimline at just 13.8mm and very light weight at 122 grams. This makes it comfortable to hold and use on the move and is therefore unobtrusive. This pocket friendly handset is therefore ideal for the busy on the go types. The front of the handset is dominated by the large touch screen with just a couple of touch sensitive buttons at the base of the screen.

In areas covered by 3G, HSDPA provides an internet connection at speeds of up to 3.6 Mega bytes per second. A faster internet connection can be gained by Wi-Fi technology utilising the signal provided by wireless internet routers at various domestic and commercial locations. In areas with little or no 3G coverage, class 32 versions of both GPRS and edge provide the X6 with its connections to cellular networks.

Its vast range of features with great styling offers a good level of appeal to the Nokia X6. The large amount of internal storage and the versatile media player make it an ideal portable music player so will appeal to music fans, as well as style conscious users.
